The company Huawei has launched three new models of terminals belonging to its P series, which comes to replace the current Ascend P7. During the presentation, all the attention was focused on the new Huawei P8 whose screen size rises to 5.2 inches and is positioned at an entry price of 499 euros, the most basic configuration with expected availability for the month of June .
The Huawei P8 Max will arrive a month after Q8 and it has a 6.8-inch screen size and a 4,360 mAh battery to ensure intense use by users. A third version called Huawei P8 Lite it will be the first to be available during the month of May at a price very similar to the current one Ascend P7 of 279 euros.
For manufacturing purposes, as might be expected, Huawei has strongly promoted the improved design of the P8, as well as its connectivity and usability aspects, with important improvements related to its camera. Richard Yu, CEO of the Consumer Unit of Huawei has highlighted during its presentation that it has advanced technology deployed in a sophisticated design.
Physically, it is constructed of aluminum with a unibody type finish from which its battery cannot be removed. Its thickness has been slightly reduced to 6.4 mm in order not to sacrifice other components, while its weight is 144 grams. It is offered in four different colors: Mystic Champagne, Prestige gold, Titanium Gray and Carbon Black. The company has wanted to enhance the characteristics that users have been demanding, in such a way that it has a double SIM card slot on its side with management of both for voice and data, as well as memory expansion through a microSD card slot. It does not have a fingerprint reader as is the case with the Ascend Mate 7, the company’s flagship, but the usability and certain features of its EMUI 3.0 customization software have been greatly improved.
Huawei P8 Max
The terminal with the largest screen size of the company, the new P8 Max, you now have 6.8 inches in 16: 9 wide format. It comes equipped with all the extras already mentioned of the P8, but increasing its battery to 4,360 mAh in order to guarantee an acceptable autonomy in this type of device. It will be marketed in two similar versions that vary in color of their finishes and memory, the standard version being 549 euros, and the Premium version of 639 euros. As we have already seen in the area enabled for demonstrations, and with a first contact, the size is large, but it allows to deploy very interesting actions, such as dividing the screen into two different desktops on which to open several applications
