HTC and Apple settle their patent disputes

The agreement ends with a dispute that began more than two years ago and a half when Apple sued HTC for infringement of its patents and the Thai company decided to fight back. With the resolution of this litigation, Apple and HTC avoid a legal dispute in the face of the one that Samsung has faced with the Cupertino company with the economic damage and public image that it has caused for both companies.

“HTC is pleased to have resolved its dispute with Apple so that HTC can focus on innovation rather than litigation,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC. Tim Cook, in the note released by Apple has stated: “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with HTC”, says Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. “We are going to remain fully focused on product innovation.”
