- Enable the USB Debugging option. From: Settings-> All-> About phone-> Build number. Then click 5-7 times on the build number, until a message announces that we are already a developer. Next, in Settings -> Development Options we activate USB Debugging. Also enable “Allow OEM Unlocking”, if this option is available.

How to root HTC Bolt and HTC 10 Evo Android Nougat
Step 1: Open a command window. To do this, inside the ADB folder (C: adb), press the SHIFT key on the keyboard + Right Click on the mouse in a white space of the folder and in the options that are displayed simply choose “Open command window here” .
Step 2: Next, connect the device with the PC using the USB cable and restart the device in FASTBOOT mode by typing the following command in the command window or by pressing the “Power + Volume down” button at the same time.

Step 3: Once in Fastboot mode check connection by entering command below command line. We will receive the serial number of the device which means that the device is correctly connected.
Step 4: Write the following command in the command window
fastboot flash recovery recovery_root.img
Step 5: Then boot the device in recovery mode and once in recovery mode, the SuperSU script to root will start the root process. It might take a few reboots (3-4 maybe) before booting into the system.
