Download mode and recovery mode in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Guide on how to boot into download mode (download mode) and recovery mode (recovery mode) Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge phones, thus being able to intervene and solve problems that appear, easily when the need arises.

RECOVERY MODE

First Method: Boot the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge into recovery mode using the physical buttons:

Step 1: Turn off the phone and wait 5 seconds.

Step 2: Then press and hold the Volume up + Home + Power together, until the Samsung logo will appear.

At this point you can navigate using the volume buttons and the power button to select.

Second Method: Boot the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge into recovery mode using FastBoot:

Step 1: Download and install ADB and Fastboot on your pc / computer. This will create the ADB folder on the C partition of the Windows operating system (C: adb).

Step 2: Before continuing with the guide on download mode and recovery mode in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge:

  • Activate the USB debugging option, from: Settings-> All-> About phone-> Build number. Then click 5-7 times on the build number, until a message announces that we are already a developer. Next, in Settings -> Development Options we activate USB Debugging. Also enable “Allow OEM Unlocking”, if this option is available.
  • Install the Samsung USB Drivers on the PC, so that we can connect the device with the computer correctly.

Step 3: Connect the phone with the computer using the USB cable. Open a command window. For this we will go inside the ADB folder (C: adb). Once here we press the SHIFT key on the keyboard + Right Click on the mouse in a white space in the folder and in the options that are shown we simply choose “open command window here”.

Step 4: Write the following command in the command window to put the phone in recovery mode:

adb reboot recovery

DOWNLOAD MODE

First Method: Boot Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge into download mode using the physical buttons:

Step 1: Turn off the phone. Then press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power together, until a warning screen will appear on your device.

Step 2: Press the volume up button to confirm entering the download mode. At this point you can navigate using the volume buttons and the power button to select.
