From the moment of launch, readers have access to more than 50 comics, short stories and graphic novels. The stories are starred by both classics and Mickey Mouse, as well as other more novel characters like those of Toy story or Cars. However, the initial charge of these 50 comics available is just a part of the more than 25,000 comic pages that the factory Disney creates every year. The company will thus include two new titles each week.
Users can personalize their reading by choosing between various display modes as well as between automatic or manual mode for turning the pages. Other features included are the possibility of expansion (available only in iPad), and the ability to share on facebook. Readers can preview the comic before your purchase, receive updates on new titles available and save comics directly to your iPad, iPhone or ipod touch for reading without having web access.
The application Disney comics is available for free on the App Store and requires iOS 3.1 or higher. The subsequent purchase of comics in the application will cost between 0.70 and 3 EUR approximately depending on the extension of the comic in question.
