We still do not know what day the annual event to present the new iPhone will be held, but according to the journalist from Bloomberg Mark Gurman has published on his Twitter account that we will know the date this week.
Usually, this event is held every September, but Apple has not yet confirmed when it will present the new iPhone 12 terminals. The production of the new iPhone has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and has delayed its arrival.
The iPhone 11 generation was released on September 10, 2019. If Gurman is correct, then Apple will announce the holding of the iPhone 12 event about a year later, so it could take place at the end of the month or early October.
I wouldn’t get too excited about rumors of new Apple products appearing this week. More likely I think: an announcement of the upcoming (of course virtual) September iPhone / Apple Watch event.

Gurman believes that Apple will announce the new iPhone and the new Apple Watch in a virtual event to be held this September, which contradicts the information of the leaker Jon Prosser, who believes he will do so through a press release this Tuesday, 8 of September.
Apple press release is currently scheduled for Tuesday (September 8) at 9:00 am EST – though, I should note that it’s not locked in until the press has been briefed, day of.
I’ll tweet early that morning to update you if it changes.

Prosser isn’t always correct in his predictions, but he does so especially when it comes to release dates. Gurman has wanted to show that he is not correct, but in any case there is only one day left to know if this is so.
It is especially interesting to see how a traditional journalist deals with reports from a YouTube leaker. But both have in common sources internal to Apple; just change which channel they make them public on.
