Once added, users from supported markets will be able to use PayPal to pay for purchases they make on the App Store (including in-app purchases and subscriptions), Apple Music, iTunes TV shows, iBooks, and iCloud storage (no matter what device they’re using their Apple account on).
Further, PayPal will be added as a payment option directly on iOS, something that was not previously available, according to the company, and that will now be effective in the new 12 markets. In addition to Mexico and Canada, the United States, Spain, Italy, Israel, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands are spoken of.
That means you can now access your iOS settings and change your account’s default payment method to PayPal on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. After doing so, all your purchases will be charged to PayPal (no credit or debit card required). This also includes purchases made through your Apple TV or your Apple Watch.
Both new and existing customers will be able to change their account to use PayPal as the default method when this feature is activated in your market. To do so, they will only have to change the account settings in the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or through iTunes or on their Windows PC.
