Anonymous launches the Black March campaign

After the attacks launched against government websites and the content industry around the world in protest at the closure of Megaupload and despite the fact that the United States Congress and Senate have indefinitely suspended the processing of the SOPA and PIPA anti-piracy laws, Anonymous has launched the global campaign ‘Black March’ directly against the economic interests of the content industry.

In a video in Spanish uploaded to YouTube yesterday, it can be read: “With the campaigns censoring the Internet such as SOPA, PIPA and Ley Sinde and the closure of sites like Megaupload under allegations of ‘piracy’ and ‘conspiracy’, the time has come to standing up against the musical lobbies of the cinema and audiovisual industries ”. Later, the statement calls on consumers not to buy audiovisual content throughout the month of March: “Do not buy a disc, do not download a song, do not see a movie at the cinema or download a copy, do not buy or a DVD, don’t buy a video game, don’t buy a book or magazine ”.
