One of the main questions that bind the Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 810, is the overheating that can suffer in quite demanding tasks.
Twakers have tested the latest HTC terminal, the HTC One M9, along with other terminals where its predecessor, the HTC One M8 is included. Among these terminals, the HTC One M9 is the only one to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and has made clear evidence that overheating is present.
The test has been carried out running the GFXBench application, an application to measure the performance of the terminal at its maximum power. The HTC One M9 reached 55 degrees centigrade, where it clearly differs in the image taken through a thermal camera. The other devices are around 40 degrees Celsius but do not reach the temperature level of the other device that could be harmful to the hand.
It should be clarified that these tests have been carried out with a software version, on the HTC One M9, which are in their final stages, but not definitive.
At the moment we are waiting to personally test this device to see if the processors under the hood have solved this serious problem that Qualcomm promises to correct.
What do you think about this test? Will Qualcomm really let this problem coexist on high-end terminals?
