911 CDMX application with seismic alert

There are many applications that we can install on our cell phones that claim to notify us in the event of an earthquake, many of them do not work as they say they do and that causes the annoyance of many since users undoubtedly trust the apps they download.

Now you can have the seismic alert in real time from your Smartphone, through the 911 CDMX application, which will be activated when the Seismic Registration and Instrumentation Center (CIRES) detects any tellral movement, as long as an intensity greater than five, which is considered to be able to affect part of the metropolis and that is detected to be coming from the coasts of Guerrero and Oaxaca. It is worth mentioning that the sound emitted by the application will last 60 seconds before the tremor begins, which will undoubtedly be of great help.

On the other hand, the head of the Government of Mexico City, Miguel Angel Mancera, assured that the application has been fully validated by CIRES and by the local Secretary of Civil Protection.

It is worth mentioning that the 911 CDMX application was developed by the Command, Control, Computation, Communications and Citizen Contact Center of Mexico City. This application is already working since November 2, so users of Android and iOS they can already have it.

It should be noted that for users of Android the application will emit sound even if it is in silent mode, instead for users of iOS The alert will only be issued through vibrations if the device is in silent mode, the bad news is that in both cases it is necessary to have a Wi-Fi connection or in any case with mobile data.

For users who already had the application, it will simply update automatically so that you have the new seismic alert function.
