Xiaomi knows that a large part of its strength lies in the launch of devices with characteristics superior to those that it would have according to its price. The My pad, The company's first tablet fulfilled this premise, although its characteristics tended towards the upper part of the market. The second model would arrive according to a previous leak, focused on the mid-range, and as we have now known, it will have phone functionalities, a very popular feature in China.
Its passage through GFXBench left us a list of specifications that the device would have. Screen of 9.2 inch with HD resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels), Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 410 with 64-bit architecture and quad-core 1.2 GHz, but less than the Tegra K1 of the MiPad, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. It highlighted the fact that it did not incorporate any camera, neither in the back nor in the front for a video call. All in order to reduce the price to a minimum.
The new information qualifies some of these sections. Finally I would count on dual camera although the megapixels of the sensors or their functions have not been known. What has been leaked is its possible price, which would be around 599 yuan, some 80 euros to change. A range that until now was reserved for very low quality and performance models.
On the path of triumph
Xiaomi has stated that it wants to become the largest manufacturer in the world within 5-10 years, for this it has to give consumers what they ask for, also in the low range. We already told you that they work on a 4G smartphone that would cost only 50 euros, and this tablet would go the same way. The model marked with the number 2,014,811 in the MIIT, would have in addition to everything discussed above, phone functionalities, including slot for SIM cards and support for GSM, WCDMA, TD-LTE and LTE FDD networks.
