Pokmon GO suspends Community Day to prevent coronavirus infections worldwide

open up

You cannot doubt the severity of COVID-19 that is forcing it to take extraordinary measures all over the world. From sports events to meetings and cancellation of classes, the main recommendation is to try stay home and avoid crowds and Pokmon GO has made an important decision.

Every month Pokmon GO celebrates Community Das, a day dedicated to its users where we have a leading Pokmon and many rewards that we can achieve if we go out to play. Abra was the chosen Pokmon but it has been decided, and for good reason, delay this day to avoid trainers' meetings and possible coronavirus infections.

But that's not all, as they have also been announced a series of measures to try to make the game more attractive even if you play alone.

Pokmon GO also wants to avoid contagion

These measures are intended to prevent coaches from playing Pokmon GO as originally intended: with other friends and in community. This is not the best time to go outside and meet with other people and that is why the special Community Day event has been postponed and these measures have also been taken:

  • There is a new package of 30 incenses for a PokCoin. Incense, a special item in the game that attracts wild Pokmon, will also last one hour each, instead of the usual 30 minutes.
  • The incubation distance of the eggs during this period of time has been cut in half.
  • The PokeStops gifts appear earlier.
  • Ms Pokmon in nature and its habitats are expanding.

Pokemon GO

Is about very interesting and welcome steps that they can avoid contagions at this delicate moment and that we applaud from here, may soon come new ways to play Pokmon GO.
