presented Lasso, a standalone application that allows you to create short videos of up to 26 seconds in length that can be shared on Instagram Stories, Facebook stories and many other platforms. At the same time, Lasso has a catalog of filters and special effects to personalize the productions.
In addition to video editing and adding text and effects, Lasso leverages an extensive catalog of millions of songs, one of the hallmarks of
, the benchmark in the sector of short music videos that already has more than 500 million users. It also makes use of hashtags to concentrate conversations on a topic and also offers the resource to speed up the speed of a production and camera effects, among other features.
, Lasso works as a standalone Facebook app, but requires login with a Facebook or Instagram account. "We have seen communities grow and connect using Lasso's short-form videos, and we are excited to offer more people in Latin America new creative ways to express themselves with the app," said Luz Landa, manager of strategic partnerships with creators of content and public figures on Facebook.
Lasso had been launched in Mexico, Colombia and the United States, and now Facebook announced the availability of the application in Argentina and in other countries in the region, such as Chile, Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, El Salvador , Costa Rica, Panama and Uruguay.
