The Realme 6 series, made up of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, has just been presented by the Chinese brand in an online event aimed at the Indian market. Contrary to what you might think, The company clarified that Realme 6 does not come as a successor to Realme 5, but the Realme 5 Pro. Likewise, the Realme 6 Pro is an evolution of the Realme X and not the Realme 5 Pro. Therefore, these two new Realme 6 are mid-range terminals.
However, the mid-range is only a label for its processors, since both terminals are released with some high-end characteristics, such as their 90 Hz displays and quad camera, with very low prices for everything they offer. Discover all the details of the new Realme 6 below.
All the information of the new Realme 6
The Realme 6 are terminals that seek to provide a high-end experience, even without being them, for an affordable price. Therefore, we see that both mobiles have very good characteristics, but balanced, without any that stands out or falls noticeably from the rest. Obviously, the Realme 6 Pro with more cameras and a better processor is the best in the series, but the Realme 6 also has a lot to say.

90 Hz screens and a premium design that makes you fall in love
Both the Realme 6 and the Realme Pro arrive with a fairly modern design that we have already seen in some current high-end, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 or the Realme X50 Pro 5G. That is, very fine frames, the camera perforated in a corner, a huge screen with Full HD + resolution that covers 90.5% of the front and a module at the rear where the different sensors of the camera are vertically aligned.
If to that we add that the screen has a 90 Hz refresh rate (Something unusual in the mid-range, but that is already setting a trend), we are dealing with two luxury mobiles. This refresh rate seeks to provide the user with greater fluidity and definition in moving images, especially in games. Although these types of screens consume more energy, Realme has clarified that the Realme 6 can intelligently switch between 90 Hz and 60 Hz for better autonomy.
Focused on gaming with MediaTek and Qualcomm
One of the big differences between the Realme 6 and its Pro version is in the processor. On the one hand, the Realme 6 is cheaper, since it uses a MediaTek processor: the Helio G90T. Instead, the Realme 6 Pro justifies its higher price with the use of a Qualcomm processor: the Snapdragon 720G. The "G" on both processors indicates that they are designed to provide a gaming experienceexceptional.
While we can't say for sure that one processor is better than another, Snapdragon processors have historically shown better performance and better energy efficiency than MediaTek's. So that's something to consider before buying one or the other. Otherwise, we did not find many differences in hardware. Both mobiles come with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (expandable with microSD). Of course, the cheapest version of Realme 6 has 4 GB of RAM and the Realme 6 Pro has 6 GB of RAM.
Quality quad cameras, but the one on the Realme 6 Pro is better
Both devices have a main sensor in their 64 MP rear camera, which ensures good photos in different conditions. In the case of the Realme 6, it additionally incorporates an 8 MP wide-angle sensor with a 119-degree field of view, a 2 MP monochrome sensor to improve the quality of black and white photos, and a 2 MP macro sensor to focus targets at 4 cm. The Realme 6 Pro uses the same camera settings, but changes the monochrome sensor for a 12 MP telephoto lens that adds 2x optical and 20x hybrid zoom to the camera. By the way, both mobiles have UIS stabilization for video and slow motion recording at 120 FPS.
On the front, the Realme 6 selfie camera is 16 MP and features HDR, AI beautification, panoramic selfies and portrait mode. The Realme 6 Pro selfie camera offers the same, but, In addition to the 16 MP sensor, it also features an 8 MP wide-angle sensor. Therefore, there is no doubt that the Realme 6 Pro is a little better in the photographic section than the Realme 6.
4,300 mAh and 4G battery to guarantee excellent autonomy
Realme has not wanted to make the jump to 5G with this series, which may disappoint some. However, looking at it from a positive point of view, with 4G the battery of the phones lasts longer, especially if they have a capacity of 4300 mAh like these Realme 6. Also, to afford such low prices, it is logical for Realme to decide to do without 5G in this series.
The good news is that both terminals offer a 30W fast charge that allows these phones to be charged from 0 to 100% in just 60 minutes. In addition, they come with Android 10 from the factory and its respective customization layer, Realme UI. As for extra features, the Realme 6 Pro has supralinear speakers and Dolby Atmos support for impressive sound quality.
