This Monday, March 16, Apple announced together with its subsidiary company Beats by Dre, the new Phase 4 Powerbeats, which will be on sale from Wednesday 18.
In design these new earphones, which do not have a model number, are very similar to version 3. They have an angled earphone that is closer in design than the Powerbeats Pro and a cable that slides down from the ear hook. the ear instead of the opposite side. Apple says this creates a natural, ergonomic contour around the neck.
On the other hand, they have an in-ear angular fit and wrap-around hooks, but there's a cable between the Powerbeats that connects the two headphones to each other. This version also comes in headphones in four sizes for optimal sound and comfort for each user.
Each headset comes with sound adjustment and more playback controls such as: skip songs, reject or accept incoming calls, and play and pause music.
Apple has included an H1 chip in the Powerbeats for quicker pairing with iOS devices, a quick switch between devices that are logged into the same account of the Clube and free hands support "HeySiri". The Powerbeats work with Apple's audio sharing feature that Allows two sets of Apple-designed headphones to connect to one iPhone or iPad.
Powerbeats have an IPX4 water resistance rating, which is the same water resistance rating as the Powerbeats Pro. This means they will be able to resist sweat and splashing water.
It also comes with dual-beam microphones for improved call quality along with Class 1 Bluetooth for extended range and fewer interruptions. Powerbeats will last 15 hours on a single charge (3 hours longer than Powerbeats 3), plus there is a 5-minute Fast Fuel feature that provides one hour of listening time after a five-minute charge.
Unlike Powerbeats Pro and AirPods, standard Powerbeats do not have a charging case and will need to be charged with a Lightning cable.
While the Powerbeats 3 were priced at $ 199.95, Apple is charging $ 149.95 for the new Powerbeats. The Powerbeats will be available in black, white, or red and can be purchased from Apple's online store beginning this Wednesday, March 18.
