Harry Potter director's FNAF movie facing delay after the creator leaves guin

The next Five Nights at Freddy movie from game creator Scott Cawthon that is being directed by Harry Potter director Chris Columbus has been delayed. Cawthon said in a Steam post that he saw the script, so the writers are working on a new one.

Columbus liked the script, as did Jason Blumhouse, who is the head of the Blumhouse production company (Purge, Eve of All Saints, Salt), Cawthon said in his post (through Variety). However, Cawthon had a better idea, so they discarded the previous draft in favor of something new.

"I take responsibility for this delay; it's my fault," said Cawthon.

Writing a good FNAF movie script has been a "real challenge for everyone," Cawthon said. While it has been difficult, Cawthon said he didn't compromise with the story.

"I am determined to find the right story," he said. "I limit myself to what I have always said: either the right film is made or none is done. I hate to delay a project that has already seen so many delays, but I have to follow my instincts in what I think will be exciting and interesting, and what I think the fan base really want to see.

"If that means I have to start more than ten times more, then that's what I'm going to do. The good thing is that every attempt improves and improves, in my opinion. So, despite the delays, that goes in the future . correct address. "

The next FNAF film, and the aftermath that may arise after it, exist only in the FNAF 1-3 universe, not in FNAF 4 or in any of the derivations. "The games after Five Nights at Freddy's 3 won't exist in the movie universe. I like it or hate it, I felt that this was the best part of the story I really focused on," Cawthon said.

There is still no information about the release date, cast or plot details of the FNAF film. In the game, players must survive in a terrifying version of Chuck E. Cheese that is full of animatronic monsters. It is quite scary.

The FNAF series debuted in August 2014 on PC and has since been ported to iOS. They followed five nights at Freddy's 2, 3 and 4 in a row, along with the Pizzeria Simulator and Sister Location leads.
