Xiaomi had announced the launch of the future Redmi Note 9 in India on March 12. However, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the event dedicated to the official announcement of the telephone was canceled, being changed to a live broadcast through their social channels during the same date. Like the predecessor series Redmi Note 8, the Note 9 line supposedly includes the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. With a week remaining for its launch, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has been seen on the Geekbench benchmark platform. Thanks to this we have been revealed some of his most important specifications.

Official sites dedicated to the Redmi Note 9 series of Xiaomi India and Amazon India claim that the terminal be driven with a powerful chipset. The Redmi Note 8 Pro was powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T processor. Meanwhile the Snapdragon 665 gave life to the standard Redmi Note 8. It has not yet been confirmed which processors will drive the future Redmi Note 9 line.

Redmi Note 9 Pro on Geekbench

The Redmi Note 9 Pro that appeared in Geekbench 5 does not specifically reveal the name of the processor. Instead, we see that it is mentioned the code name "curtana" in the field of the motherboard. This code name may refer to that of the telephone itself or the CPU. What is known is that it is powered by a Qualcomm SoC that is made up of eight cores with a 1.80GHz base frequency.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro is equipped with 6 GB of RAM. Also run the Android 10 operating system as standard. In the Geekbench 5 single core performance test, the Redmi Note 9 Pro got 569 points. Meanwhile I registered a score of 1755 in the performance test of multiple cores.

The processor aims to be the Snapdragon 720G

The Realme 6 Pro was recently introduced as the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 720G. Before its launch, it was seen on the same benchmark platform, and you can tell that it counted with similar benchmarking scores. So, it is possible that the same SoC is present in the future Redmi Note 9 Pro.
