Data filtering in Sonic games

Some time agoSEGAHe decided to make the leap to smartphones taking their games to them and to date they have released 3 games, which have security problems. These games in question areSonic the Hedgehog Classic, Sonic Dash and Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boomthose that have been launched to mobile devices, but within them in their code there is an exchange with servers to offer advertising within the game, but that will be affecting user security.

It has been the Pradeo security company that has determined that these games communicate with up to11 servers, of which3 are not certified, so the problem comes at the time that the games request the location of the player, so there is a possibility that this information communicates with the affected servers.

Of these 3 non-certified servers, 2 of them are affected by security vulnerabilities, which are to intercept user data. That is why SEGA take action on the matter to start looking for those responsible and correct these vulnerabilities, so if they discover that the advertising servers were used for data theft, they will act accordingly.
