Logitech is not buying Plantronics after all – TecNoticias, your information portal

Reuters reported this weekend that Logitech was in talks to acquire the Plantronics headphone manufacturer for more than $ 2.2 billion, but it seems the deal is not happening. Logitech says TechCrunch that "although I had had conversations with Plantronics about a possible transaction, the negotiations were over."

A transaction of $ 2.2 billion would have been Logitech's largest acquisition to date, although it would not necessarily have reflected a particularly high valuation of Plantronics' consumer business. Earlier this year, Plantronics itself bought the $ 2 billion video conferencing solution manufacturer Polycom, which must have been the main factor in Logitech's willingness to pay so much.
