Xiaomi wants to take the concept of smartphone gamer to another level and today it has presented us in an online event the new Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro, the latter with the addition of two physical triggers on one of its sides.
These devices belong to its gamer line and although with differences, they share a very powerful hardware designed to handle all types of games without problems.
So are the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro
Within this new launch of Xiaomi we have the Black Shark 3, the base model from which the new series starts. This comes with an aggressive design in black, gray and silver colors, highlighting its rear with a triangular module at the top to accommodate its chambers, while at the bottom we have the same triangular module, but in inverted version and housing the PoGo pins.
The Pro model maintains the design, but without the silver color and with the addition of two buttons on the left side, which become two triggers to play if we put the terminal in horizontal format. This can be mapped so that we can use them as best suits our way of playing.
On the front of the base model we have a huge screen 6.67 inch AMOLED with a resolution FHD + of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, refresh rate of 90 Hz and 270 for the sampling rate. While for the Pro model this screen grows until 7.1 inches with 2K + resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 pixels.
In this front we find for both models a 20MP selfie camera, while the rear system also does not change in the two models, consisting of a triplet with a 64 megapixel main lens, a secondary of 13 megapixels and a 5 megapixel camera as wide angle.
Snapdragon 865 5G and up to 12 GB of RAM
The new Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro become the first gamer smartphones with 5G connectivity, something they get by mounting Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors. Inside they are accompanied by the muscle of an LPDDR5 RAM of 8 or 12 GB for the standard model and 8GB LPDDR4 or 12GB LPDDR5 for the Pro model.
For UFS 3.0 storage we have versions of 128 or 256GB in the base model and only a 256GB version in the Pro models.
To close the specifications of the Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro we have a battery of 4720 and 5000 mAh respectively, both with 65W load and a steam chamber cooling system.
As for the operating system, Xiaomi opts for its Joy UI layer under Android 10.
