WhatsApp starts payment testing phase in India

After a long time that he has been hearing about leaks in the WhatsApp code lines that refer to a payment system, this possibility is finally beginning to be implemented in India almost 10 months after the official announcement was made, although at the moment the making of said paymentsarrives in beta quality or testing phase, which means that at the end of this period the company announces the launch of the final version.

On the other hand,User-to-user payments (under the C2C or Consumer To Consumer business model) are made on UPI (Unified Payments Interface), a well-known digital payment system from India already adopted by the main banks and some services of the country.

This implementation in the case of India seems to be more direct and simple, because after the update of WhatsApp, the application received a new tab ofPayments in the configuration menu in which the bank account is entered and verified at the same time that some service and privacy policies are accepted.

The payments are handled without problems, so that they were attachments in the chat, being quite clean for the impulse of a digital economy without the need for cash, however this beta version is only accessible to users in India.
