more power but worse cameras

more power but worse cameras

A few months ago Vivo announced a new smartphone, the Vivo V9, a device with a good design, with cameras and adequate features.

Today the Chinese manufacturer wanted to launch a new variant of this model that has not changed its name, but has added a suffix. And no, instead of using a Plus or a Pro as other brands do, he wanted to put the amount of RAM.

So, the new Live V9 6 GB It is a terminal very similar to its predecessor, but with more differences than we could imagine with the naked eye.

Features Live V9 6 GB

  • Display: 6.3 inches Full HD + (2280 x 1080) with 19: 9 ratio
  • Processor: Snapdragon 626
  • RAM memory: 6 GB
  • Internal memory: 64 GB
  • Rear camera: double sensor, one of 13 Mpx with f / 2.2 and another of 2 Mpx
  • Front camera: 12 Mpx with f / 2.0

  • Dimensions: 154.80 x 75.00 x 7.90 mm
  • Weight: 150 grams
  • Battery: 3260 mAh with fast charge
  • Connectivity: GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G …

More power: processor and RAM

The main difference, in positive, of this model with its predecessor is that here a Snapdragon 660 and 6 GB of RAM instead of a 626 with 4 GB. The internal memory is maintained, in 64 GB expandable, like the battery, of 3260 mAh.

We also have the same design and screen, a 6.3-inch panel with notch that reaches 2280 x 1080 px in total.

In the back area we see the fingerprint sensor and the two cameras, which we will talk about next.

Worst photographic section

In a strange movement Vivo has decided that this model was going to have worse cameras than the Vivo normal V9. Thus, in front we go from 24 Mpx to 12 Mpx, maintaining the opening of f / 2.0.

In the rear area we also see how the main sensor goes from 16 Mpx and f / 2.0 to one of 13 Mpx with f / 2.2. The support is also reduced from 5 Mpx to 2 Mpx.

Perhaps the brand wants to maintain the cost of the terminal and has cut this part to improve the previous one.

Price and availability

It will go on sale in Indonesia, at least at its launch, in July this year. The price will be about 260 euros at the exchange.
