It is increasingly common to see Apple devices in series and movies, and in Apple's own ones it is even more common. It is a way of advertising that many companies use and of which now, in the particular case of Apple, we know a little more.
Segn shared director Rian Johnson in an interview with Vanity fair, Apple lets its devices appear on the scene, and iPhones are the most popular, however the company does not want the bad guy out on the scene using an iPhone.
Bad guys can't carry iPhone
Apple has always been known for its strong rules, if you want to use its devices you must go through the hoop. According to the company itself, Apple products should only be displayed “In the best way, in a way or context that reflects Apple products favorably”. And this is just what happens with the bad characters in the movies.
"Also another funny thing, I don't know if I should say this or not … Not because it's like lewd or something, but because it will annoy me in the next mystery movie I write, but forget it, I will say it, it's very interesting.
Apple … they allow you to use iPhones in movies but, and this is very important if you ever see a mystery movie, the bad guys can't have iPhones on camera.
So, oh, nooooooo, every filmmaker who has a bad boy in his movie that is supposed to be a secret wants to kill me right now".
No doubt this can be a spoiler full-fledged, when you're watching a mystery movie or series and don't know who exactly is the bad guy, If everyone uses an iPhone except one, you'll know who is. This theory has been on the table for many years, many said that only the good guys used Macs while the bad guys always had a PC. Now this is confirmed, Apple does not want to connect their devices with the bad ones.
