Samsung I recently introduced the Galaxy S20 flagship phone series. This phone line is the most advanced in the history of Samsung. They will continue with this title until the company launches its customary second line of flagships every summer end, the Galaxy Note family. It seems that the future Galaxy Note 20 includes some technologies that, due to lack of time or cost, have not been possible to include them in the Galaxy S20. A patent that has emerged recently reveals some key details of the future Samsung Galaxy Note 20, which have to do with their design and with its characteristics.

It is not the first time that the patents filed by the brands in the different registry offices reveal technical information about the mobile phones that are about to be launched. This time it was Samsung, the company that added a registration to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Thanks to this we have a look at what it could be the design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

Patent disclosures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Super curved screen and physical buttons

The illustrations that accompany the patent reveal a very curved screen, similar to the Huawei Mate 30. However, Samsung still have in mind offer all the physical buttons we are used to. The method that the company will apply to achieve this will be the make these buttons protrude through a hole in the glass curved of the screen, on the side edges. Recall that the flagship of Huawei opt to add virtual buttons sensitive to pressure.

Multiple sensors for health monitoring

The patent also included interesting information about new features to offer. First, we will have a lot of new sensors that will be dedicated to monitor our health. These include a sensor electromyography (EMG), a sensor electroencephalogram (EEG) and a sensor electrocardiogram (ECG). EMG tests are often used to find neuromuscular diseases. EEG sensors monitor the electrical activity of the brain while the ECG sensor, like the one found in certain smartwatches, detects abnormal heart rhythms.

Holographic projector

To these sensors, the possibility is added that a holographic projector be added According to this patent. In general terms, this function allows projecting three-dimensional images in a real environment. This is something that until now had only been seen in science fiction movies. It is a function that just thinking about it seems a bit futuristic.

It is still too early to assume something about the upcoming Galaxy Note series. However, there is no doubt that Samsung seek to surprise us with its new technologies.
