Xiaomi has revealed on Thursday its new flagships, the terminals with which it hopes to convince the respectable to seek experiences premium in this first part of the year. They are the best of the brand so far and arrive with great promises under their arm.
With a MWC 2020 canceled and its official European presentation delayed, the brand has not made changes to its scheduled event in China, which has been where the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Two smartphones that enter to compete directly in the highest segment of the market and that, just as Samsung did just a few days ago with the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, have claims as striking as a 108 megapixel camera.
The best of Xiaomi
There is little doubt that, at least on paper, the new Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro represent the best work that the popular Asian firm knows how to do. With a stylized design, curving the screen on its sides and integrating the front camera in the same panel, there are several trends to which technology joins these devices. Both devices share several aspects, and one of them is the 6.7-inch AMOLED display with refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. An option that the user can activate or not and that improve the experience of daily use in terms of fluidity of interaction regarding strength to consume something more battery.
On this last s there are changes, because the Xiaomi Mi 10 arrives with 4,780 mAh and the Pro version, paradoxically, with something less: 4,500 mAh. To compensate, the most expensive of the two includes a fast 50W cable load that makes it possible to refill the tank in less time.
The two include variants in 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a storage of 128 or 256 GB in the case of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and 256 or 512 GB in the Mi 10 Pro with the standard UFS 3.0 memory, which will do more Fast terminal processes. Likewise, they are one of the first smartphones worldwide to incorporate the Snapdragon 865, the latest and most powerful Qualcomm processor. This assumes, at the same time, that they include 5G connectivity.
There are several differences that, here, are revealed in the photographic section. With four rear lenses each and sharing a 108 megapixel main sensor, the standard model also incorporates a wide angle, a macro mode and an auxiliary lens to perfect the shots with portrait mode. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, meanwhile, improves these lenses by incorporating a hybrid zoom of up to 10 magnifications and a peak of 2, in addition to having a wide angle.
Price and availability of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, as mentioned, have been presented only in China, and for now there is no data about when they will reach European soil. Xiaomi has expressed that its global presentation will take place soon, so it is expected that they offer a specific date in the next few days or weeks.
Regarding the price, the conversion of local prices offers the vision that was expected for a long time: the new members will see a substantial increase with respect to those that happen. This is the distribution in relation to capacities and versions:
