The search giant Google cares about users for a long time, at least we have been able to verify this after the launch of Digital Wellness 1.0 in 2018. It occupies a place within the AOSP and has been leaked to other versions of the Android operating system during this year and a half.
Recently a trio of applications have appeared on the Play Store from the Special Projects & Experiments division and the other two from Google Creative Lab. There is a lot of work behind each of them, since they want to keep the users of the phones busy at all times.
Envelope is an application that will transform your phone into a simple device, moving it away from the digital world. Among the options are to call and receive calls, applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook and other apps will be disabled. The fingerprint lock still works and is ideal for use on OLED displays.
It will allow us to use the phone on a day-to-day basis, once you unlock the terminal an interactive bubble will appear and the larger the connected time will be the bubble. Designed to find a balance with technology and especially wanting to get away from excessive use of the phone.
The app will measure the usage time for each connection, ideal especially when controlling the full use of 24 hours. The stopwatch will add us to a main counter at the end of each unlock, precisely created for the use of our children and also ours.
All three applications are free in the Google Play Store, the first one only available for the Pixel 3a, although it is not ruled out in the future to launch an alternative to other mobiles. Activity Bubbles and Screen Stopwatch are compatible with other devices.
