Co-author of The Big Bang Theory signs exclusively for Netflix

With the goal of developing and writing multi-genre television series, Netflix has exclusively signed Bill Prady, the executive producer and co-creator of the hit The Big Bang Theory.

The performance was 12 seasons on the air on CBS screens between 2007 and mid-2019. It is syndicated as one of the few survivors of the sitcom format (sitcom), which is characterized by its limited scenarios and recorded laughter.

“Bill Prady is a famous storyteller and in The Big Bang Theory he created characters that have defined a generation and transcend the passage of time, said Netflix's original vice president of content, Channing Dungey.

We are excited to take advantage of their treasures of ideas and give life to their next list of projects, ”added the executive on the professional, who also worked on television creations such as Dharma & Greg, Related and Caroline in the City.

For Prady, the opportunity to partner with Netflix transcends the support and creative freedom that the platform has proposed.

His approach to television and respect for the viewer allow the kind of in-depth narration that I've always been fantastic about. I am excited not only to develop and produce my own projects, but also to find and defend new voices and visions, he commented.

Netflix recalled that Prady began his career in the show in 1991, with the classic Marriage with children. However, his first experience as a screenwriter was just five years later, with Dream On, from HBO.
