Overwatch: Caster MonteCristo leaves Overwatch League for Cloud9

Overwatch: Caster MonteCristo leaves Overwatch League for Cloud9 – TecNoticias, your information portal

Ed doesn't rest until a new Wario Land is announced.

Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles produce content exclusively with Cloud9 after his departure from the Overwatch League.

In a video posted on his Twitter page, MonteCristo announced that creating content with C9 and working with them to design competitive electronic sports products.

MonteCristo played a crucial role in the growth of the Overwatch League as a sport, but left to "pursue greater professional growth", as there were "irreconcilable creative and philosophical differences" between him and the current leadership of the League once Nate Nanzer left.

MonteCristo is not the first pitcher to leave, far from it. Many have left the ship to work on their own and look for other opportunities. Although the OWL audience numbers remain stable, it is clear that there are problems with the administration, or even the exhaustion of the game, it simply does not change enough.

Chris Puckett, Erik "DoA" Lonnquist, Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat and Malik Fort will not return for the 2020 OWL season. Does this mean the end for the OWL? Probably not, but a massive exodus is certainly something to worry about.
