Again we witness the delay in launching a folding smartphone, although this time it is not a problem in its design or other problems, but the high demand for it.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Fold, as the Huawei Mate X have been delayed the date initially planned for its launch. Now it is Lenovo who have announced that Motorola RAZR launch delayed, adducing production problems to meet the demand.
We will still have to wait for the Motorola RAZR
The Motorola RAZR was announced in November and it was expected that the presale will start this December, something that seems not to happen and we will have to wait a little longer.
According to Bloomberg, apparently The demand for Motorola's first folding smartphone has been much higher than expected, which would have led the company to delay the launch to avoid being in the situation of buyers who could not acquire their devices
Motorola has decided to adjust Razr's presale and launch time to better meet consumer demand (…) We are working to determine the right amount and schedule to ensure that more consumers have access to Razr at launch.
With all this it does not seem that this delay will be prolonged, since those responsible for the company affirm that they do not expect “a significant change” with respect to the initial launch deadlines.
