Before the start of season 4 of Apex Legends: assimilation, the World's Edge map has begun to change. In certain places on the map, you can now find posters that announce future constructions. You can see the signs in the images embedded below.
The signs announce that the valley between Fuel Depot and the Thermal Station is the future location of a job site. And the company responsible for the construction? Hammond Robotics: the same company that sponsors Forge, the new legend scheduled to launch in Apex Legends at the beginning of Season 4, and responsible for creating the IMC technology in Titanfall and Titanfall 2. The signs seem to cause some type of construction or the takeover of the city with Forge themes is scheduled to appear in the valley during Season 4.
Respawn has made jokes like this before. You can see flyers in Kings Canyon before the start of season 2: Battle Charge, which saw the flyers and leviatans outside the map invade the battlefield. Prior to the Voidwalker event, flags appeared in Kings Canyon indicating where the takeover of the city of Wraith will be built.
It is worth noting that these construction signs by Hammond Robotics on World's Edge mark a significantly larger area than the construction flags that led to the takeover of the city of Wraith. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but World's Edge could see an addition that is big enough, maybe big enough to count as a new milestone.
Based on an image revealed during Season 4 Reveal Devstream, the structure appears to be a giant apartment complex consisting of a skyscraper and several office buildings and garage looks. The image is embedded below. You can see the new structure in the background on the left, which seems to be located directly in front of Fuel Depot on the right.
Also, in the image that shows when the Season 4 ranking mode goes from being located in World's Edge to being located in Kings Canyon, you can see what Capitol City looks like on the left. Anyway, that hypocress Be Capitol City. Where the train station is, Epicenter should be at the left of this city, not the right one. This image seems to suggest that a city be built to the right of the cliffs surrounding the Epicenter, so Refinery is now. Either that or something will happen to World's Edge, where all the structures move and Capitol City and Epicenter change position somehow. Anyway, it seems we can expect World's Edge to look very different on February 4.
Season 4: Assimilation will do much more than add a new character and introduce some changes to the map. Respawn has announced that season 4 will see the return of Kings Canyon, the addition of a new firearm and changes in the classification and assistance systems.
Apex Legends is currently in the last weeks of season 3: Meltdown. To end the season, the game is organizing a limited time event, Grand Soire Arcade, which adds seven additional modes to the game, along with new designs of rare and legendary characters and weapons. The event was launched along with an update for the game that implemented a nerf for Wraith, benefits for Gibraltar and Crypto, and eliminated extended energy magazines, what Respawn jokes is a clue to something to come in Season 4.
