Are you one of those who opted for a Pixel 4, Galaxy Note 10 or a OnePlus 7 in 2019? All are Android phones with great features, as we expect for the next Galaxy S11. But as often happens in life, sometimes things just fail. Therefore, it is always useful to know how to activate the safe mode in Android and when to do so to solve these problems.

The safe mode of a phone is more useful than you think, as it helps you locate the causes of the problems you may have on your device. If your device has overheated, discharged or does not work properly, but does not present these problems in the safe mode, then you can confirm that an application you installed may be responsible. The big question is how do you activate the safe mode in Android?

How to disable safe mode on Android

  • Press and hold the power button.
  • Touch the option Restart.

That is all. A simple restart of your Android device disable safe mode.

How to activate safe mode on a standard Android device

If you have a Galaxy, a Pixel, a Pixel XL, a Nexus device or any other smart phone or Android tablet, then the process to activate the safe mode is as follows:

  • Press and hold the Power button.
  • Press and hold the Off button.
  • When the message appears Restart in safe modepress To accept.

Your device will reboot and say "safe mode" in the lower left corner. This method also works for LG, HTC, Sony and many other Android phones.

Activate the safe mode with the keys

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S8, an HTC U12 Plus or any other smart phone or Android tablet, then the process to activate the safe mode with the keys is as follows:

  • Press and hold the Power button and select To turn off.
  • Press and hold the Power button until the animated Samsung or HTC logo appears.
  • Release the Power button and hold the button to decrease the volume.
  • Keep holding it until your device starts.
  • You can release it when you see the words "safe mode" in the lower left corner.

This method works for most Android phones and tablets.

What to do in safe mode

You can uninstall problematic applications and use the phone's main functions while in failsafe mode. If you see that the problem has been solved with the safe mode, you can uninstall the applications one by one and try again to try to identify what is generating conflicts, or you can reset the factory device and install programs and games in a way selective, making sure you are careful to control any problems after each installation.

If your device continues to block, overheat or show poor performance in the failsafe mode, it may be a problem with the operating system or hardware. Try to reset the factory settings and, if that does not solve the problems, contact the retailer, operator or phone manufacturer and find out about the possibility of a replacement or repair.
