Samsung: S there are problems with the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus reader

Andrew Hoyle / CNET

Samsung has recognized problems in the operation of the ultrasonic reader under the screen of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus, but its users should not worry too much.

The South Korean company told Korea Herald that it is releasing software updates to improve reader recognition, after multiple users complained about a malfunction in two of their new cell phones.

Samsung has already released a first software update for the Galaxy S10 family and said that this patch includes an upgrade to the ultrasonic reader, but more updates in the immediate future will continue to improve accuracy in biometric recognition.

The S10 and S10 Plus are Samsung's first phones to include the ultrasonic fingerprint reader below the screen. Although the reader cannot be seen with the naked eye, the user knows where to put the finger on the screen because the interface highlights the exact point. Our colleague Juan Garzn discovered that the fingerprint reader on the S10 can be seen with the screen turned off when placed in full sunlight.

This is not the first time that the S10 is involved in a security dilemma. The company no better face recognition in the S10 and has been criticized for being relatively easy to make fun of and be able to access the device. While the company warns of its poor security, Samsung was able to improve it for the sake of users.

Removing these small details, the three Galaxy S10 offer great features and are a great offer of devices on Android phones. If you want to know more about them, here below you can see their complete analyzes at CNET in Spanish.
