There are many companies dedicated to the design, development and sale of phones who look to another market for expansion. This is the case of Nokia, acquired by HMD Global and that little by little bets on the Android operating system along with the Android Go version for terminals with less powerful hardware.
Now is your own HMD Global announces the arrival of Nokia C1, a device available in Nigeria and Kenya. The specifications are very similar to that of Nokia 1 Plus, therefore it remains to be seen if it is a variant released to countries other than the mentioned terminal.
The C1 has a screen of 5.45 ?with resolution of 480 x 960 pixels in an IPS panel and improving the TFT. Another noteworthy aspect is that it has a tempered glass to protect the screen from scratches and even unexpected bumps, a strong point over other models of the company.
The two cameras despite not being their forte will not dislike anyone. The front sensor is 5 megapixels with LED Flash, suitable for selfies, on the other hand the rear camera has the same megapixels, also adds LED Flash and perhaps a greater amount of megapixels will be needed when taking quality photos.
Nokia C1 mounts a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU from the manufacturer MediaTek, add 1 GB of RAM as usual Android 9 Go Edition phones. The built-in storage is 16 GB expandable up to a maximum of 64 GB through the MicroSD slot.
This version offers dual SIM, it is a mobile with 3G – no LTE -, WiFI 802.11n and Bluetooth as connections. Nokia is committed to a 2,500 mAh battery, 3.5 mm headphone jack and just arrives with the phone, a charger and a quick start guide.
Nokia C1 comes with a price of KES 6000 to Kenya – 53 euros to change – in Nigeria the same model has the same cost.
