Meizu's smartphone without ports or buttons in its structure

As compliant manufacturers have advanced further in technology they have chosen to give greater prominence to the screen and camera section of their smartphones. Along the way they have been dispensing with some things such as the occasional port, sensor or even the speakers, placing them in a place that allows them to take better advantage of the space.

The Chinese company Meizu, launch soon a device that not only ends with a port or a sensor but with everything that a hole in the telephone structure can entail. The call Meizu Zero, does not have a SIM card tray or MicroSD; Eliminates charging, headphone, power button and volume control ports.

You will wonder how to replace each of these, but before that check its technical characteristics:

  • 5.99-inch OLED display with mSound 2.0 technology
  • Snapdragon 855 processor
  • Battery with fast charging capacity mCharge wireless
  • 20 + 12 megapixel main camera
  • 20 megapixel front camera
  • Fingerprint reader under the screen
  • Connectivity goes eSIM
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • IP68 certification
  • Body with ceramic cover
  • Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System

How you can first appreciate the sound emitted from the device be through the screen where is the fingerprint reader and as we talked before this technology work through vibrations that will even be heard with the screen upside down according to the information. Continuing with the audio section, the headphones will necessarily have to be wireless and connected goes bluetooth.

The power charge will also be wireless and hopefully Meizu includes this charger inside the smartphone case. The technology Super mCharge with which to count to be of 18 W of power.

In the case of connectivity for operators, it has a eSIM card which is integrated in the device board. Thing that from my point of view will make its arrival to other markets a bit difficult since not in all regions the operators work with this type of SIM.

The biggest point that can be seen on this smartphone is in its IP68 certification which ensures that the device can dive up to two and a half hours. Of course, the removal of ports was a key point for this.

In general we can say that it is an innovative device that will cost you work to get into the market. It is not detailed how to turn on the terminal and we assume that the volume is going software. We will be aware of future information according to its price and whether to arrive on this side of the globe.

In the meantime, give us your opinion in the comment box on this Meizu Zero, we are reading.
