The Touch ID under the screen arrive in 2021 with a new iPhone SE

iPhone 11

Let's be honest, we still have a hard time forgetting the Touch ID, in fact, we probably won't even do it in the medium term. Although Face ID has proved to be a substitute for the most interesting and effective, the truth is that many of us miss the possibility of choosing our favorite method of recognition. Specifically one that does not require moving our head every time we want to unlock the phone without using our security code.

The good news is that Apple knows perfectly well that we miss the Touch ID, and it seems that it has never stopped working on it. However, it is still not clear if we will see great innovations regarding this functionality. Specifically, if we have the possibility to see an iPhone with fingerprint sensor under the screen, something that competitors already include in many of their high-end devices and what Apple still resists in favor of Face ID.

In this sense, it seems that the Cupertino wait to have the right product to retrieve Touch ID, and according to the last report of the renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, this may arrive in 2021. And it is that while in 2020 it seems that we will have important news regarding the design of the iPhone, in 2021 we could attend the arrival of a new reinvention of the iPhone, both with a model without physical connectors and with two new iPhone SE with fingerprint sensor under the screen.

At the moment, the analyst suggests that this new iPhone SE will be launched in two different sizes, 5.5 inches and 6.1 inches, the latter similar to the current iPhone 11 or iPhone XR. In addition, they may have a launch at an event separate from the one dedicated to the iPhone Pro, something that should help keep users' attention on Apple releases. In any case, we still have more than a year to check, so enjoy the current iPhone.
