At this point nobody can say that mobile phones do not take good photos or that they are unable to record good videos. Up to the average price they already incorporate excellent cameras that offer great results in the multimedia field. Although of course, it is in the highest range where there is usually better hardware available; even if it is limited in its possibilities, as in the case of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8.
The Galaxy Note 9 is updated: we tested its improvements in photography
Samsung has updated the Galaxy Note 9, improving its camera in several situations. We have tested the update and we tell you its news.
Both phones are capable of record in 4K without disheveled and with a very high quality. Both in sharpness of the videos and in image quality, color and definition. The Note 8 and Galaxy S8 also offer smooth recordings, although the number of frames per second is limited to 30 When the user chooses the maximum resolution of the video: 4K. That can be changed thanks to a new modified application that works perfectly. We have checked.
Better the fluidity of videos on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 with a modified camera application
This application comes to us from XDA Developers: The user KunkerLV created a code that manages to double the number of fps in 4K recordings. The best thing is that this method no ROOT access required, so it is suitable for anyone who owns one of Samsung's mobile phones for now compatible: the Galaxy Note 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The main drawback is that the modification is not made with the official Samsung camera application, so, in case you want to record at 4K and 60 fps, you must run a separate application. In addition, you need to paste a script on that application to activate the 60 fps. It doesn't involve too many complications if you follow the steps:
- Install the camera application on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Note 8. You can download it from here.
- Open the new application, tap on the settings and then on «Edit Camera Script«.
- Paste the following text: preview-size =% pref_width% x% pref_height% video-size =% video_width% x% video_height% camera-mode = 1cam_mode = 1cam-mode = 1video-hfr = 60preview-fps-range = 60000,60000
- Click on «Apply»And you will have active the recording mode in 4K and at 60 fps.
We have been testing the application and the truth is that there is a noticeable improvement in the videos obtained. These flow much better, there are no noticeable jumps in the movements. Of course, videos in 4K and 60 fps they have a greater weight, signal that you will have to control yourself in case you do not have too much storage left on your Samsung Galaxy.
