Xiaomi presents technology to charge a cell phone in 17 minutes

Xiaomi's 100-watt charging technology leaves behind any other fast load on the market, including Oppo's 50-watt load, which was the fastest we have tried to date.

Xiaomi presented this March 26 the technology that could revolutionize the way we charge our cell phones, since it will allow to charge a cell phone with a 4,000mAH battery (battery size that the Galaxy Note 9 has) in just 17 minutes, using a charge of 100 watts (100W).

This is revolutionary because so far the fastest load we have tested has been that of the Oppo R17 Pro It has a 50-watt load and we managed to charge 0 to 100 percent in about 40 minutes. In context, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition It loads fast too but has a 40-watt load, similar to what we found in the Huawei P30 Pro and higher than what we found in the Galaxy S10 and theGalaxy S10 Plus.

The technology was presented by Bin Lin, co-founder of the company through a video on the Chinese social network Weibo in which he compares just that fast load with what Oppo offers with its 50-watt load on a cell phone with a 3,700 battery mAh

In the video you can see that in the 17 minutes the Oppo cell phone reached 65 percent charge (from 0 percent).

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is the latest flagship phone that the company presented just a few weeks ago. This cell phone has a fast load of 27 watts. Moving from offering 27 watts to 100 watts is a great technological leap, but at the moment it is not clear when we can see this technology that the company calls Super Charge Turbo.
