There are few days left before the new ones are presented Huawei Mate 20, the new family of productivity-oriented terminals from Huawei, heirs of the Huawei Mate 10 of 2017.
It was strange that until now there had been no major filtration of its design, but in XDA they have solved that. They have had access to photographs of prototype units, very close to the final design, if not exact, and although they have not been able to show them, we understand that in order not to reveal their source, they have created some renders in which we see what the new Mate 20 will look like.
A different design, especially behind
In the front we see how Huawei bets on reduce notch significantly, closer to the Essential Phone than the iPhone X. Just above the front camera, which is the one that forms the notch, will be the headset, which will surely also work as a speaker, something that the Huawei P20 Pro already does, for example.
In the Huawei Mate 20 it will further minimize the front edges and decrease the area that is not screen. Their 6.3 inches they will occupy almost the entire front and it is that in this model the fingerprint sensor will not be in the lower frame, as happened in the Mate 10.
In that rear area we will have the fingerprint sensor although in the renders it has not been drawn since it does not know how it will be. The test unit had a protective case and that made it impossible to see.
What was seen was the location of its three rear cameras, which instead of being positioned vertically on one side, as in the P20 Pro, or in the center, as in the Mate RS Porsche Desing, they do it in a square shape.
The three sensors together with the LED flash form a 2 × 2 reticle that creates a projection right in the center, something classic in the first instance and innovative when we stop to look at it in detail.
This model will have 4200 mAh and wireless charging, which is why the rear area is glass. It will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, like the P20 Pro. The processor will be the Kirin 980 and will carry Android 9 as standard as we speculated.
