10-inch tablets for all tastes and all budgets

The rise of the phablets has been felt enough in the popularity of smaller tablets and, indeed, in recent times we are increasingly seeing large manufacturers bet on the 10 inches in their new models. In fact, and with the exception of professional tablets (which usually go up to 12 inches), a good part of the last major releases are in this field, either within the high-end Or the mid-range. We do a review at most interesting news and others consolidated options to help you choose the one that best suits your needs and your budget.
For those who have no budget limit and are not especially Android fans, the first option, the most expensive on our list, is the new iPad Pro 9.7. Its main virtues, in addition to fingerprint reader the great finishes and elegance that characterizes, whether we like them or not, Apple devices, is what experts have described as the best LCD screen to date, an excellent audio system with four speakers, a A9X processor only a little less powerful than the 12.9-inch model (which, for references, can be compared with those of many Windows hybrids) and cameras at the height of those of a smartphone. In fact, if we are willing to invest whatever it takes, we can also use the Smart Keyboard and also take advantage of it by working with it.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet It is one of those tablets on the list that has been with us for the longest time (the least “novelty”, so to speak), but the truth is that it has endured the time very well and that it is still a very interesting option to consider, as long as we have a budget, because, regardless of offers we can find in a distributor (and not even with these), the truth is that its price has not dropped much. Of course, although it is undeniable that it is one of the most expensive tablets, there is no lack of virtues that justify it, with a very small thickness and weight (especially for its size), an excellent screen with Quad HD resolution and a powerful Snapdragon 810 In your gut We also have, in addition, an official keyboard if we want to work more comfortably with it and it is one of the few that can boast of being waterproof.
Another great option with Android for those who want a tablet that can work with but do not want to make the leap in price that professional tablets represent, is the Pixel c, which also has its own keyboard. If what we want is a conventional tablet, in any case, this is still a fantastic alternative: we also have here a Quad HD screen and a first level processor (a Tegra X1, especially powerful in graphic processing), in addition to some interesting extras, such as the metal case, having stock Android as an operating system, or having all the guaranteed updates as soon as Google launches them, since they will reach us directly from them.
It has also been a few months since Samsung He presented us with his Galaxy Tab S2, but in this case it must be said that he has not only endured the type very well, but that he plays totally in his favor at the time of being included in this list, since his price has dropped considerably in some distributors: it almost costs to believe that for just over 400 euros we can have the tablet that won the title to the best screen (no need to distinguish between AMOLED and LCD), which can also boast to tie with the Sony tablet in weight (and that is not to say little) and overcome it even in thickness. It also has fingerprint reader and, although it is true that its processor is not the most powerful, but for an average user it will be more than enough, and the price difference with tablets of the same level is substantial.
Riding between the mid-range and the high-end, the great reference is the MediaPad M2 10, one of the most recent additions, since it was released at the beginning of this year and recently we can get it in Spain (with the good news that it has been seen with somewhat lower prices even than we expected in some distributors). It is not much, in any case, that prevents it from being considered as a pure high-end tablet and, in fact, is one of the few Android tablets that we can find with metal housing, and also has fingerprint reader. It is also a fantastic multimedia device, with a good Full HD screen and an excellent audio system with four speakers. To round the set, we have to add that it is one of the tablets with better autonomy We have tried.
If we want to maximize our investment and we are willing to make some concessions (giving up the metal case, the four speakers and the fingerprint reader), the Aquaris M10 It is an option that we cannot ignore: the version we have chosen, of 260 euros, already has Full HD screen, and although its processor is Mediatek, is also quite powerful. It is probably not his greatest virtue, but if it is a matter that interests us especially, it is also worth noting that his cameras, of 8 and 5 MP, are up to those of the high range. Overall, a great quality / price ratio, which is combined with a rather attractive and more elegant design than is usual in the mid-range.
Although we can simply opt for the model with HD screen of the Aquaris M10, if we need an even more affordable tablet we recommend you at least take a look at the Yoga Tab 3: It is true that its design is something peculiar and it may be that at first you take a little back, the reality is that the cylindrical support is quite comfortable to hold in our hands and has an extra very interesting function, which is to house a higher capacity battery than usual, which makes it one of the tablets with better autonomy and in a safe bet if this is a section that concerns us especially. It is also a team with good finishes and good hardware, including a Qualcomm processor.
We end with a recommendation dedicated to those who cannot afford large investments and, interestingly, we do it with a tablet of a brand that usually competes more for quality than for price: it is true that we can find even cheaper 10-inch tablets (although not much more if we discard the Chinese import tablets), but none that gives us as much confidence as that of Samsung. Its main flaw is probably arriving with Android Kitkat still and not have an Exynos processor, like other Korean models, but its 9.7-inch screen has HD resolution, 1.5 GB of RAM, good finishes and a design Pretty careful for a tablet in its price range. If we can afford to reach 200 euros, yes, we can choose to get the Galaxy Tab A 9.7.
