We recently informed you that in the operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean the possibility of enabling a multi-user support which gave clues about Google's plans yet to materialize. That is, several people could have a customized configuration of the device linked to their user, with their personal applications, their wallpaper and their Google account. Entering the system could be turned on and enabled although with too many risks and few advantages derived. Now it can be done much easier.
To activate this option you had to know well how to be root and understand certain programming codes, since the method required entering commands and commands. We showed you how to do it in this article in which we even put you a video tutorial. Honestly the risk was not worth it.
Today, however, we can activate it by a much safer method, a user management application for Jelly Bean That takes care of everything. The application User Management once installed allows us to generate new users, edit them even with images and remove them.
The application can be downloaded directly from Google Play and there you will find additional instructions from the developer to value the installation. To do this, of course, you need to be root and have Jelly Bean as the operating system on your device. It is necessary to understand that by installing this application we are running some risk that should be backed up with minimal knowledge on how to be root. Users who have tried it seem happy, give the application a 4.7, but it is good to have some caution. The user interface, however, seems more designed for mobiles than tablets.
Google has not yet pronounced in this regard but in the meantime we can appreciate the possibilities that such a development would bring, especially for tablets, since they are more likely to be used by several people in the family, work or educational environment. We may find this progress coming soon in the new Android operating systemGoogle is rumored to be developing and will come out at the end of the year. The so-called Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie You might surprise us with multi-user support.
