You can now share Instagram stories as in WhatsApp groups

Instagram is deploying a new feature that had been under development for several months. It's called "close friends," and it's practically a closer way to share your stories with a more select group of users. The ones you choose.

Share stories, only with your close friends

The arrival of social networks has meant a transversal change in the way we interact. Before the arrival of Facebook, saying that you had, I don't know, 5000 friends, seemed crazy. Internet and social networks are a tool to connect with people who Friendship has been banalized.

Perhaps that loss of meaning is more a matter of Facebook, by calling any contact friend, although the term "followers" is also not less gentle. Again, if before Twitter you said you had more than 5000 followers, people were going to take you as a cult leader, as little.

And why this whole journey of definitions? Because on Instagram it seems that they want to make sense of the word «Friendship». Or maybe not, but make it closer.

"Close friends" is not a feature that has been removed from the sleeve. Already in June 2017 we told you that Instagram was working on a new way to share their stories, inspired by Google+ circles.

The idea is halfway between public and private profiles. From now on you can make stories for all your followers, but also for your friends and family. To those of, really, to those you love, you appreciate and are part of your life with greater importance than a number can say.

You will decide who your closest friends are, those who can see your most personal stories, the ones you don't want to share with acquaintances. Users who receive those stories you will see that these types of stories have a green ring, instead of the usual purple and yellow gradient.

This feature will start arriving shortly, through an update in the application.
