Hello and welcome back to Equity, the podcast focused on venture capital from TechCrunch, where we unpack the numbers behind the headlines.
We have something a little different for you this week. Equity co-host Kate Clark He recently sat down with Manish Chandra, co-founder and CEO of Poshmark, and one of its first investors, managing partner of NFX James Currier.
If you haven't heard of Poshmark, It is an online platform to buy and sell clothes. Basically, it is the second-hand store of the 21st century. We asked Chandra how and co-founders Tracy Sun, Gautam Golwala and Chetan Pungaliya invented the idea of ??Poshmark, what obstacles they faced along the way, how they raised venture capital and, of course, what details of their next initial public offer he could share with us. Meanwhile, Currier talked about the company's first days, when the Poshmark team worked hard on the floor of Currier's office.
Unfortunately, neither Chandra nor Currier were willing to share details about the IPO of Poshmark, which reports were expected soon. But they both shared interesting ideas to build a successful company backed by companies, fight competition and do their best.
I'm glad they came back for another episode, see you soon.
