The blue trolleybuses will have a technology that will make them self-sufficient. They can circulate up to 100 kilometers without electric power, since they will have a lithium-iron-phosphate battery of 147 kWh with which they can run up to 75 km / h and thus reduce waiting times by 40 percent.
According to Sheinbaum, the investment for the new trolleybuses was 463 million pesos which also includes another 23 units that still need to be delivered.
Trolleybuses also feature electric mirrors and fog lights. Inside, they have a very accessible space for the disabled, the vehicles have presence sensors located in the doors, which the driver can observe from a monitor housed in the dashboard. In addition, they also have a surveillance camera system, LED lights, a voice and stop system, and an alarm that indicates the closing of doors. They have a capacity for 85 passengers: 23 seated and 57 standing.
