Apple launched its first 16-inch MacBook Pro on Wednesday.
They include the new 16-inch Retina display with a resolution of 3,072 × 1,920 and a pixel density of 226 ppi, as well as a magic keyboard with a ?refined? scissor mechanism that offers 1 mm of key travel and, hopefully, less problems than the butterfly keyboard on previous MacBook Pro devices.
Also on board are six speakers that should provide deeper bass and more natural sound, as well as a new microphone set that offers a "40 percent reduction in whistle and an improved signal / noise ratio."
The MacBook Pro
It also has more powerful ninth-generation Intel Core processors with 6 or 8 cores, up to 64 GB of memory and AMD Radeon Pro 5000M graphics, as well as a new thermal design, with a larger heatsink and better airflow.
It has a large 100 Wh battery that provides up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing (according to Apple) and can be configured with up to 8 TB of SSD storage.
Apple changed or added to meet the demands of its customers
Many of whom did not like the butterfly keyboard or the Touch Bar. In addition to the new keyboard, one of those features is the physical escape key, which is located to the left of the touch bar. (yes, the touch bar is still there).
However, Apple did not add more ports or a 16-inch memory card reader to the Pro, although there is apparently plenty of room to do so. The new Pro still has only four Thunderbolt 3 ports (two on each side). At least the headphone jack is still there.
The new MacBook Pro
16-inch replaces the 15-inch MacBook Pro, which has now been completely removed from Apple's website.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $ 2,399 with an Intel Core i7 processor and $ 2,799 with an Intel Core i9 processor, and is available on the Apple website.
It will reach Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers in the US. UU. Later this week, followed by a global release "soon."
