In January 2018, Xiaomi presented its new Xiaomi Redmi 6, the most basic terminals of its catalog, which serve as a gateway for both its brand and Android to thousands of users. Personally, I think they are the best cheap phones you can buy with Android, and that is not trivial.
At the beginning of 2019 it is expected that the Xiaomi Redmi 7, the successors of these models, and in fact today we have seen for the first time in a leak in the TENAA (the Chinese organization of electronic device management) although with their code names, not even with those that will be used in stores.
There will be three variants that will be announced, M1901F7C, M1901F7E, and M1901F7T, which may be translated into the Xiaomi Redmi 7, 7A and 7 Pro.
The first Xiaomi with drop-shaped notch
The most striking thing about the design of these models is that they will have a water drop shaped notch, or at least one of the three will have it. Until now Xiaomi was quite conservative in the design of its low-end mobiles. The headset will be on top of the camera, placed as is logical in a central position in the upper area.
There will be no haptic buttons in the lower area and it seems that will mean that both the onscreen buttons and gestures reach this price range.
In the rear area, both the dual camera and the fingerprint sensor stand out, in an arrangement that is reminiscent of Huawei.
This terminal will have 2900 mAh of battery and a screen of 5.84 inches, we do not know yet with what resolution. The dimensions will be 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8 mm. This means that although the dimensions are similar to those of the Redmi 6, the screen may be somewhat larger.
In general, it seems that the Xiaomi Redmi 7 will inherit the design of the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, with an improvement in the notch to make it smaller. It remains to be seen if this model is the Redmi 7, the Redmi 7 Pro or if everyone will share the features seen here.
