The Xiaomi device offers excellent results in almost any type of photographic situation. Outdoors, it has precise exposures along with excellent detail preservation, and handles noise well; however, there may be a pinkish hue and sometimes the reflections are trimmed. Apart from that, white balance is generally accurate in all areas, and the smartphone's camera makes the bokeh pleasant. Indoor shots show a little more noise, but remain high quality.
Wide-angle shots taken with the ultra-wide-angle lens camera have low distortion and good detail preservation, compared to similar phones, and night shots feature very natural skin tones, thanks in part to their second softer flash . While the multiple cameras on the phone help you get the best performance, it has some weaknesses. For example, highlighting trimming occurs in scenes of very high dynamic range and images lose sharpness towards their edges.

As with its still image capture, the dynamic range is sometimes limited in scenes of high dynamic range, and there may be some color stripes. Moving scenes can also undergo some high-frequency residual movements and rendering of unnatural texture.
