As described by DXoMark, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition, which is the model tested and hung in its database, is Xiaomi's newest mobile, with a 6.47-inch AMOLED FullHD + screen and a very large battery of 5,260 mAh In the imaging department, it offers a penta camera configuration. The main wide-angle camera uses a 108-MP Quad-Bayer sensor that produces an image output of 27 MP by default. This is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle 20 MP camera and two telephoto triggers. The short 12MP telephoto lens provides a 2x zoom factor (equivalent to 50mm), while the long 8MP telephoto lens multiplies the equivalent focal length of the main camera by approximately 3.5 (equivalent to 94mm). The last lens is 2 MP and works to take macro photographs for a close focus of 2 to 10 cm (the latter is not taken into account in the review)

With an overall score of 121, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition has partnered with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro to get the highest overall camera score of any phone you've tried so far. Your photo score is two points lower than that of the Mate 30 Pro (130 vs. 132), although it remains one of our highest photo scores. Its video score, which is 102, is the highest we have seen, beating both Google Pixel 4 and Samsung Note 10+ 5G by one point.

The Xiaomi device offers excellent results in almost any type of photographic situation. Outdoors, it has precise exposures along with excellent detail preservation, and handles noise well; however, there may be a pinkish hue and sometimes the reflections are trimmed. Apart from that, white balance is generally accurate in all areas, and the smartphone's camera makes the bokeh pleasant. Indoor shots show a little more noise, but remain high quality.

Wide-angle shots taken with the ultra-wide-angle lens camera have low distortion and good detail preservation, compared to similar phones, and night shots feature very natural skin tones, thanks in part to their second softer flash . While the multiple cameras on the phone help you get the best performance, it has some weaknesses. For example, highlighting trimming occurs in scenes of very high dynamic range and images lose sharpness towards their edges.

Thanks to its cameras equipped with double telephoto lens, The Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition works exceptionally well in zoom tests: Having 2x and 4x native optical zoom powers it at a zoom sub-score of 109. The multi-camera setup also helps the Xiaomi phone to do a good job with depth estimation, resulting in a very good effect bokeh, with particularly nice blur gradients and well-rendered spotlights.

While The Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition still works very well in low light conditionsWith excellent details, noise is somewhat more visible than when shooting outdoors. The overall performance of the flash is solid, with precise exposures and a good trade-off between preserving details and reducing noise. Some color images are visible in urban landscape scenes, and there is also a slight ghost effect when night mode is used to photograph moving subjects.

When it comes to video, the device is equally impressive, achieving the highest video score of any phone we have tested to date: 102 points. Video recordings feature vivid colors and pleasantly rendered, along with a fast and precise autofocus, in all tested conditions. The exhibits are also very good, with well-preserved details and well-managed noise. As with its still image capture, the dynamic range is sometimes limited in scenes of high dynamic range, and there may be some color stripes. Moving scenes can also undergo some high-frequency residual movements and rendering of unnatural texture.
