We have gone from having smaller and smaller phones to being able to buy things that are not well known if they are tablets or phones. Well, mired as we are in this battle without quarter or sense to see who makes the “smartphone” with the largest screen , NEC you want to make a dent by reconciling the detractors and the defenders of the Mastodontic screens. How do they do it? With a genius like a folding phone with two screens of 4.3 ″ each. They call it NEC Stockings W N05-E, I prefer to call it revolution.
The idea is so simple in its approach and so great in the result that it is almost incredible that we have not seen several models with this approach. But well, whatever it is, NEC (that quasi-forgotten brand of electronics) has finally brought us the way to have a tablet and a phone on the same device. The idea is basically a phone with a screen on the front and also on the back. through a simple visagra we unfold this smartphone, to have a tablet screen in which to see all the content we want with a better experience.
The phone in its entrails hides pretty decent specifications without being wonderful:
- Dual screen 4.3 ″ qHD LCD of 540 x 960 pixels
- Dual-Core 1.5GHz processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 16GB of internal memory
- Micro SD slot
- 2100 mAh battery
- Android Jelly Bean 4.1
- 8mpx «rear» camera and front camera
- LTE support
We note that NEC has decided to contain the specifications providing the novelty of the double screen. In general, these features should be more than enough to have a fluid and fast smartphone, although using both screens will most likely cause the battery to discharge at an even higher speed. A great failure that we hope has been alleviated, at least to some extent, with a good optimization of the operating system.
In addition to the specifications, NEC has made certain software adjustments to take advantage of that double screen even more. For example, the second screen goes to sleep as soon as we fold the phone. As we can see in the video, both screens can work as one, playing the same (ideal for sharing content, such as videos) or as independent screens increasing productivity and working in a similar way to the split screen of the latest Galaxy Note . The phone moves freely in all situations and the answer is frankly good.
