At its September event in Munich, the Chinese company Huawei presented the next generation of its Watch GT smartwatch. Under the name of Huawei Watch GT 2, and launched together with the phones of the Huawei Mate 30 series, the new wearable offers innovative and sophisticated ways to track activities and physical training that, according to the company, are based on a series of scientific research, so they claim that competition is superior.
This wearable device focused on fitness has the proprietary chip Kirin A1 from Huawei. The presence of this chip in the Huawei Watch GT 2 implies a great improvement in terms of battery, since its energy consumption is very low.
Huawei better its aesthetics with a borderless screen design. The all-in-one 3D surface gives you a wider feeling. Its 1.39-inch AMOLED HD screen has a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels, a wide color range with higher contrast and an ultra-thin design.
As for the battery, the Huawei Watch GT 2, 46mm, can operate non-stop for up to two weeks with the heart rate monitor and call notifications activated, in addition to a weekly use of Bluetooth calls of up to 30 minutes, up to 30 minutes of playback of music, up to 90 minutes of exercise and using the scientific sleep mode at night. In classic mode it can operate without stopping for up to a week. The 46mm battery lasts 30 hours in sports mode with GPS; the 42mm one lasts 15 hours.
For sports and active life
The Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm has support for Bluetooth calls from a distance of up to 150 meters. You can also save the information of your contacts, and its storage capacity is wide; Huawei says that it fits up to 500 songs in mp3 format, to be able to listen to music when exercising.
And speaking of exercise, this device is compatible with 15 sports, including outdoor sports such as running or cycling, and seven indoor sports, such as swimming, among others. While you exercise, approximately 190 types of data will be monitored. After your routine, you will receive professional advice.
Thanks to cardiac monitoring, the Huawei Watch GT 2 detects bradycardia and cardiac failures. Unless you are in sports mode, you will receive a notification if your heart rate exceeds 100 beats per minute, or is below 50 beats per minute, for more than 10 minutes. It also alerts you if you think you are stressed and reminds you to stop and move a little if your lifestyle is too sedentary.
In addition to the heart, this watch also takes care of your nights with its TruSleep 2.0 function that monitors sleep, heart rate and breathing and makes an analysis to determine the quality of your dream. If you think it is necessary, give you suggestions to improve your rest.
