Sony introduces Japanese trademarks for PS6, PS7, PS8, PS9 and PS10

Talk about thinking about the future.

At this time, the PlayStation brand is as strong as ever. Not since the days of PlayStation 2 Sony has been only at the top. The PS4 has probably consolidated the company as a constant gaming presence from now until the entire industry collapses somewhere. And Sony looks to the future as new trademarks for PlayStation 10 emerge.

Registered trademarks appeared in Japan for four different potential systems. The PS6, PS7, PS8, PS9 and PS10 obtained individual trademarks. That may seem like a way out, since we're about to get the PS5, but it's really not that unusual. For example, the PS5 trademark actually arrived in 2006, which was the same year the PS4 brand was registered.

It simply shows how confident Sony is in the brand that they are marking so many different systems. It is crazy to think about that, especially because there is no way of knowing what to be a game console at that time. We will be transmitting games directly to our brains with the PS10, if society does not collapse in a hellish landscape by then. We will just have to wait and see.
