Three new tablets join the list of devices with Android 5.1 Lollipop

Gradually, the list of devices that have Android 5.1 Lollipop, the latest version of Google's operating system, is spreading. Each manufacturer is at its own pace but now that the launch of Android M, many are putting the batteries. As far as tablets are concerned, there are many brands that give priority to smartphones and that is why some tablets have not had their moment until now. But today is good news, three new models already have Android 5.1 Lollipop: Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Dell Venue 8 7840.
We said that some companies prioritize smartphones over tablets, since they are the first ones that generate the most sales, and therefore profits. This is not the case with Sony, which has released the update for Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact at the same time as for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z2, flagships of the firm in 2014. We already warned you days ago that the firmware for the devices that make up the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 ranges had been certified and Android 5.1 Lollipop would arrive before the end of July.
